Five Eyes cyber agencies warned that frontier AI models capable of dramatically escalating cyberattacks against governments and businesses may be only months away, not years. Via The Guardian
The warning comes after the US blocked foreign nationals from accessing Anthropic’s Fable model, amid fears that systems like Mythos and Fable could transform both offensive and defensive cybersecurity.
"Frontier AI models are anticipated to exceed current industry expectations, fundamentally transforming both offensive and defensive cyber capabilities. The timeline is not years, it is months,” the warning by Five Eyes’ agencies said."
