Perplexity has launched Brain, a new memory system for its Computer agent that learns from past work to improve over time.
according to perplexity, Brain builds a "context graph" of the tasks Computer performs then reviews that graph at set intervals such as overnight to teach itself how to do the work better.
unlike traditional AI memory that stores facts about the user, such as preferences and working style, Brain is designed to remember what the agent did including what worked, what failed and what corrections were made.
they says this lets computer start each task with full context of a user's projects, decisions and sources instead of from scratch cutting down on repeated turns and wasted tokens.
On tasks that require past context, Perplexity says Brain improves answer correctness by 25% increases recall by 16% and runs 13% cheaper per task.
